What Is CUET UG and Who Can Apply?

CUET UG (Common University Entrance Test – Undergraduate) is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate programmes at participating universities across India. CUET scores are used by Central Universities as well as participating State, Deemed and Private Universities.

Who Can Apply for CUET UG?

Students who have passed Class 12 or are appearing for their Class 12/equivalent examination can generally apply for CUET UG. However, eligibility is not identical for every course or university. Individual universities may specify particular Class 12 subjects, minimum marks, or other conditions for specific programmes. Students should therefore check the eligibility requirements of their preferred university and course before selecting subjects.

CUET UG offers students the opportunity to apply to multiple participating universities through a common entrance examination. The examination includes language, domain-specific subjects, and the General Aptitude Test, depending on the subjects selected and the requirements of the programme.
